Dedicated to the memory of Ethel Verda Moore (nee Otten) 31st December 1920 to 30th January 2018.
This site is a tribute to Ethel Verda Moore (nee Otten), who was born in Garston, Liverpool on December 31, 1920. She is much loved and will always be remembered. The Funeral service took place at St. Francis Of Assisi R C Church and and Springwood Crematorium on Thursday 22nd February 2018.
A huge thank you to eveyone who went along to give Ethel the send off that she truly deserved, also for donating to such a worthy cause.

What’s the use of flowers on my grave?” You’d often say to me.
“Put them in your house, so you can enjoy them when you think of me.”
“Put them in full view and enjoy them at your leisure
and I just hope that the memories with be those that bring you pleasure.”
So Mum, just as you suggested, flowers are in the house with you in mind
And yes, Mum the memories are of the sweetest kind.
So now on all the special occasions when I would have had you near,
when we’d have spent time together - Flowers will be here.
But not just on special occasions, anytime that I’m feeling blue
and just missing you here with me - I’ll buy flowers just for you.

I'll Celebrate Instead of Cry
Another Mother's Day is here,
And I still miss having you near.
You were the best mum you could be,
And I never once doubted your love for me.
I could spend each Mother's Day in sorrow,
Crying and wishing you were here,
But instead I choose to celebrate your life,
A life I still hold so dear.
I know you'd rather see me smile
Than stand here with tears in my eyes.
So I'll do my best to honour your memory,
And you'll live on as long as I am alive.
